Recipe 1. Mee Siam (Spicy Fried Vermicelli)


  • 120gm (4.2oz) of Asian Meals Sambal Tumis sauce
  • 300gm rice noodles, pre-blanched
  • 40gm prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 40gm chicken meat, sliced
  • 30gm bean sprouts
  • 1 medium red chilli, cut into strips

Garnishing: fried shallots and strips of plain omelet

Cooking Method:

  • Preheat wok and add in Asian Meals Sambal Tumis sauce.
  • At high heat, add chicken and prawns and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add in rice noodles and vegetables, stir fry for a further 3 minutes, and garnish to serve.

Chef Tips: Rice noodles can be replaced with pasta, best with angel hair pasta.

Recipe 2. Sambal Sotong


  • 120gm (4.2oz) of Asian Meals Sambal Tumis sauce
  • 360gm squid Cleaned and cut into rings 1 medium onion, sliced

Cooking Method:

  • Preheat the wok and add in Asian Meals Sambal Tumis sauce.
  • At high heat, add the squid and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add in onions, cook for a further 2 minutes and serve.

Chef Tips: Squid can be replaced with prawns, clams, mussels, or crabs. You may prefer to blanch the squids in boiling water to prevent “bleeding”.

Recipe 3. Sambal Stir-Fried Long Beans


  • 120gm (4.2oz) of AsianMeals Sambal Tumis sauce
  • 300gm long bean, cut into 2-inches length
  • 50gm onions, sliced
  • 30gm small carrot, cut into thin strips

Cooking Method:

  • Preheat wok and add AsianMeals Sambal Tumis sauce.
  • At high heat, add in long beans, carrots, and onions, and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  • Cover the wok for a further 2 minutes until all vegetables are cooked and served hot with rice.
